As one of four children growing up during the energy crisis of the 1970’s, my early travel was limited to road trips and campsites. My earliest travel memories are of traveling to Fort Lauderdale to visit my grandfather and always stopping for a few days at Walt Disney World – I have been to each WDW park during its inaugural year, had our honeymoon there during the Magic Kingdom 25th anniversary and have been several times during the 50th anniversary. On my path to Eagle Scout, I spent a lot of time camping, hiking, and canoeing through the US northeast. My first flight was to Denver to work at Philmont Scout Ranch. As a computer security consultant, I have stayed in many Marriott properties across the United States. These days I know longer rough it and much prefer a nice hotel or all-inclusive resort.
I enjoy planning group trips for scuba diving, golf, Disney, or adult group get aways. This has increased my travel map to include the Caribbean nations and South America in addition to the United States. I hope to soon begin visiting Europe.
